While I'm talking about me... would it be too much to ask to just be able to get a little case of the sniffles and a sore throat without anyone else in this house having to feel ickier than me? To just get to lie in bed for a day and groan? Really?

I enjoyed reading your new pages. I'm fascinated by the idea of Macondo. It seems like an unreal place to me, across the Andes and Pacific in a big city in Australia, and entrenched in a first world mentality.
Thanks Deborah. Yes, it really is another world here. Buenos Aires and other big cities around here are strange fusions of many different worlds, which I also find fascinating. But out here in Macondo we get the real deal...
